Human-interactive Robotics Lab

The Human-interactive Robotics (HiRo) Lab is a research group in the Department of Cyber-Physical Systems at the Indian Institute of Science set up in 2024 and led by Prof. Ravi Prakash.

The group's research lies at the intersection of robotics, machine learning, and human-robot interaction, with a focus on robot manipulation for real-world applications.

As AI moves into the physical world, our work focuses on what it takes for robots to be deployed alongside people: learning from human expertise, acting safely under uncertainty, and adapting to unstructured environments.
